- Parking lot with a surface area exceeding 5,000 m²
- Parking lot with over 200 spaces
French Renewable Energy Acceleration Law
This law concerns existing parking lots, and requires companies and local authorities with outdoor parking lots larger than 1,500 square meters to equip at least half of this surface area with solar canopies. This obligation will come into force on:
- July 1, 2026 for parking lots of 10,000 square meters or more.
- July 1, 2028 for parking lots between 1,500 and 10,000 square meters.
The installation of solar panels in your parking areas will enable you to meet the objectives of the French Renewable Energy Acceleration Law.
French Climate and Resilience Law
La loi Climat et Résilience votée en juin 2021 concerne les parcs de stationnement neufs. Elle a pour objectif de renforcer la performance environnementale et énergétique de certains bâtiments et de leurs aires de stationnement. À partir du 1er janvier 2024, tous les parkings construits en France d'une surface supérieure à 500 m² devront obligatoirement disposer d’ombrières photovoltaïques ou de dispositifs végétalisés, couvrant au moins la moitié de leur surface. En solarisant vos aires de stationnement, vous répondez aux objectifs de la loi Climat et Résilience.
Tertiary Decree
Le Décret Tertiaire impose une réduction de 40% des consommations d'énergie d'ici 2030 pour les bâtiments tertiaires existants de plus de 1000 m². La période de référence pour cette réduction doit être comprise entre 2010 et 2020. Cette mesure vise à encourager les propriétaires et gestionnaires de parking à adopter des mesures d'efficacité énergétique pour réduire leur consommation d'énergie et leurs émissions de gaz à effet de serre. Pour s’assurer du bon respect de cette obligation, votre consommation d’énergie sera calculée sur la base de la consommation fournie par le réseau électrique. L’installation d’ombrières photovoltaïques est une solution efficace pour se mettre en conformité et répondre en partie, aux objectifs du Décret Tertiaire.
